Welcome Back!

We are looking forward to becoming reacquainted with old friends and getting to know our new friends!

This year we will work on letters, numbers, colors and shapes. We'll also concentrate on playing nicely together, sharing, taking turns, following directions, using our manners, and everyone's favorite....going potty!

Doodlebugs

September for the Doodlebugs is about circles, apples, fall and the color red.  We'll talk about the Creation story and how God made each one of us special.

Super Stars

The first week as Super Stars we will be setting expectations and getting to know our daily routine as well as classroom rules.  We will then turn our focus to introducing letters, numbers, shapes, and colors.  We will discuss God's creation and the Bible story of Adam and Eve.  Our crafts and activities will center around the seasonal theme of apples and Fall.  We will also talk about bees and the honey they make.

Classroom

 5 children/1 teachers

The 2 year old classroom strives to be a fun Christian nurturing environment that encourages the children to interact with a group of peers. We feel that developing the skills to get along well with others is an important part of a 2 year old's development.  The children spend almost 60% of their day playing either inside or outside.   The remainder of their morning is devoted to learning through exposure and fun activities.  Circle time is used to encourage listening skills by reading books, telling Bible stories and exposure to letters, numbers, shapes and colors.   Singing songs and arts and crafts are used as reinforcement tools to make the learning fun.

Each week the children will have a special enrichment program.  This class will include a visit to the library, music including singing and playing instruments, an art project or a science lesson to introduce the children to nature and basic science ideas for their level.

Children do not have to be potty trained.  This will be encouraged throughout the year but will ultimately follow the parent's desires.
