Children will attend special enrichment once a week. This is a time to explore and develop the unique gifts God has given each child. This enrichment time will include library, music, science and Art. Each activity will be given on a rotating basis. When visiting the preschool library the children have story time and are assisted in checking out books. Music includes singing and experimenting with different instruments and the art enrichment projects will expose the children to creating with different media. During the science lesson the children will learn more about the world around them. Animals, nature and basic science concepts geared for their level are introduced along with fun activities and experiments.
We have an exciting journey ahead of us in Enrichment this year! We will explore the world around us, imagine and create and enjoy some fabulous books along the way! Chidren are encouraged to choose their own book from the school library so this can be an opportunity to see what piqued your child's interest that day.
In February, we will be focusing our attention on the animal kingdom. We will be learning about baby animals, birds, nocturnal animals and animals in the water. I am so excited about what we have in store. Also this month, we will learn about dental health and have a guest speaker to talk with the children about their teeth.
